Project Details
Located just outside the Busselton townsite, Provence estate will ultimately be home to 6,000 residents.
R J Vincent & Co. has been involved since construction commenced in September 2006 and has undertaken Earthworks and Civil works in excess of $30 million to date. Since commencement, over 300,000m3 of fill has been imported to elevate the site in preparation for subdivisional works. The natural low lying wet conditions of the site required careful management of dewatering and Acid Sulphate soils. In addition, the previous use of the site as a sand pit required RJV to correctly identify and remove previously deposited unsuitable soils.
Stage 1 also required construction of a lined lake 8m deep, 90000m3 capacity for irrigation and ornamental purposes.
R J Vincent & Co. has constructed over 400 lots to date and have needed to fastrack construction to meet the project's high lot demand. Much of this work has been carried out during Busselton's wet winter.
