Project Details
R J Vincent commenced work on this vast civil infrastructure project in June 1999 and laid out nearly 1,000 fully-serviced residential lots within the first two years. To date R J Vincent has constructed a vast infrastructure network of roads and parklands between Bussell Highway and the Indian Ocean whilst protecting the nearby Tuart forests by the carefully designed road reserves.
Dalyellup's next infrastructure push has been the low lying farmers paddock adjacent to Bussell Highway. To elevate this area suitable for subdivisional works to commence, approximately 370,000m3 of fill was cut from the coastal dune area and transported by road semis approximately 3 kms. Despite approximately 350 truck movements per day for 5 months, RJV's core value of safety and careful management of subcontractors meant that the operation was completed in a safe manner with minimal disturbance to local residents.
Work at both ends of these operations has presented significant environmental challenges for R J Vincent & Co - from the dewatering and Acid Sulphate soil treatments of the lower elevation areas to the difficulties in working around and maintaining a federally recognized Western Ringtail Possum conservation area in the coastal dunes.
The project's success has depended on RJV's ability to deliver lots in a timely manner. RJV's complex planning and extensive project management has enabled these tight deadlines to be achieved.
